Health care is an important aspect for any government. Today, health check up and treatment are very expensive. So, for the sake of helping patients, the government has started Employee Pension scheme with private and government hospitals for giving treatment to patients. Primary health Care centres and Government hospitals provide treatment to poor patients nearly free of cost.Floods in the year 2013 in Bhadrachalam created havoc in Bhadrachalam and Palvancha divisions flooding over 160 villages. Road network was paralysed and thousands of tribals had to be displaced from all along the river course. Boat Hospitals in Bhadrachalam
To reach out to people residing on the banks of river Godavari, the government started 'boat hospitals' to provide proper medical care facilities to people who cannot reach hospitals easily.These boat hospitals are fitted with 10 hp engines. They comprise of various accessories, medical and surgical equipments. It was initially started by a voluntary organization 'Aware'.These boats are also helpful during floods as doctors and paramedical staff can reach out to patients in remote areas. Although there are many Tribal Primary Health centres, people depend on these boat hospitals which reach areas which doctors otherwise find really difficult to work.
Nutritional Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in Bhadrachalam
This centre aims at addressing malnutrition, nutritional deficiencies, anemia, malnutrition, infections and mortality rate in tribal children. Government Employees Health Scheme (EHS) has been implemented in Bhadrachalam and all other regions in Telangana with effect from 24th October 2014. All Telangana State Government Employees and Pensioners and their dependents, can take treatment under the Scheme.It is a cashless healthcare scheme in which all the healthcare expenses for the government employees and their dependents will be completely borne by the state government. government employees who are issued health cards can use it to consult and get admitted in any hospital authorized by the state government. There is no financial bar on the healthcare expenses and the government will bear entire amount incurred during hospitalization of the employee. The Telangana employees health scheme is managed by Aarogyasri Health Care Trust.
